We are Mad Squirrel; an innovative, contemporary brewery based just outside of London at the foot of the Chiltern Hills. 

Since our launch in 2010, we have continually grown and evolved. We pride ourselves on this continued evolution, with a focus on quality, innovation and exploration.   

Our mission is simple, to craft fantastic beer that excites, satisfies, and pushes new boundaries, and share our passion and products with as many people as possible.  

Our Core Range is brewed all year round and caters for all tastes, from milk stout, through pale ales to pilsner lager. Our Occasional and Limited Releases allow us to explore new flavours and create unique and stimulating beers. We do not like to stand still!

At the heart of our operation are our skilled brewers, blending traditional beer craft with new approaches to create an our ever changing selection of beers.

We have 7 Mad Squirrel bars and an online shop, we supply pubs, shops and events and are stocked in many of the main supermarkets.  We are always looking for new outlets and partners so our beers reach the people who want them.

We strive to continually better ourselves, our products, our reach and our impact, by listening to ideas, looking beyond the usual, trying new things, and embracing change. 

OUR TIMELINE

2010 - Company incorporated. 2011 - First awards won. 2012 - Brew kit expanded. 2013 - Chesham taproom opened.  2014 - Brew kit expanded. 2015 - Berkhamsted & Amersham taprooms opened, successful crowdfunding round on Crowdcube. 2016 - High Wycombe taproom opened. 2017 - Rebrand, brewery moved to bigger unit and brew kit significantly expanded, craft beer cruiser launched, first cans released, Hemel Hempstead taproom opened.  2018 - Second successful crowdfunding round on Crowdcube. 2019 - Brew kit further expanded, St Albans taproom opened, new website launched. 2020 - SURVIVED PANDEMIC - 2021 - Launched with 4 major retailers nationwide - Installed 2 new 12,000 litre FV tanks in the brewery - Brewed over 30 new beers despite the pandemic - 2022 - Opened our biggest Taproom in Watford with 27 taps behind the bar - Signed a 3 year partnership with St.Albans City F.C. - More exciting news to come....
