Brewer

 We are looking for a motivated, positive and dynamic brewer.

With your experience you should be able to confidently work the floor. We want a professional that shares our vision of constant quality improvement, has the right work ethic and can easily integrate in to our working culture helping the company progress to the next level.

Duties & Responsibilities (include but not limited to)-

  • Work the floor, completing the day to day tasks to the highest standard.
  • Wort production on our three-vessel brewhouse.
  • Brewery Maintenance.
  • Stock control.
  • Fermentation control.
  • Run our 1200 u/h ABE canning line and ensure all legal and quality specifications are met.
  • Ensure that all standards of health and safety are maintained and met.
  • Ensure that all standards of quality and food safety are maintained and met.
  • Yeast management (pitching harvest, tracking, microbiological control).
  • Report to senior brewer.
  • Representing the brewery in our tap and bottle shops

Requirements -

  • Professional Brewing experience in wort production/cold side (2+ Years)
  • Packaging experience is not counted unless it contains the managing of packaging lines.
  • Experience in brewery microbiology.
  • Good team player and communicator.
  • A positive and can-do work approach.
  • Willingness to work a flexible shift schedule and occasional weekends (Shifts tend to be 7am – 3pm, 10am – 6pm, 2pm – 10pm)

Advantageous but not necessarily required:

  • Holding a brewing related degree or comparable qualification is beneficial.
  • Experienced in sensory analysis.
  • HACCP level 2 qualified.
  • Fork truck license.
  • Experience in using Brewman (Premier system) or any other data management software.
  • Experience in working to a quality system.
